Sitting and working positions
Position 1
Classic sitting
The HOCKBOX serves as a stable seat - ideal for sitting circles, frontal teaching or as a personal space in the room. The upright sitting posture supports concentration and promotes clear body alignment.
Position 2
Reading close to the ground
Read at your own pace: The HOCKBOX serves as a backrest or book rest while the child reads comfortably on a cushion on the floor - ideal for relaxed learning situations.
Position 3
Partner work
Two children use the HOCKBOX as a shared table - whether for an educational game, a craft project or a group exercise. The fold-out seat brings structure to cooperative forms of work.
Position 4
Mobile storage space
The HOCKBOX becomes a personal materials store and mobile workstation. By simply moving it around, each child can flexibly choose where they want to learn - regardless of the table or fixed place.
Position 5
Working with support surface
The seat becomes a writing surface. The child sits directly in front of the HOCKBOX and uses the surface for drawing, writing or crafting - particularly suitable for quiet work close to the floor.
Position 6
Back to back
Two children use the HOCKBOX at the same time - each on one side, back to back. The box provides separation and structure, but also allows individual work in the same space.

The seat also serves as a writing surface - ideal for children who like to work close to the floor or choose their learning location flexibly. A seat cushion provides comfort and makes spontaneous learning on the floor more pleasant. With the HOCKBOX , every child has their own personal space that is not only functional, but can also be customized - for example with a magnetic back panel that invites decoration or labeling.

The HOCKBOX was specially developed for the seating circle in the classroom according to the Churer model - and also impresses with its versatility: it can also be used flexibly in different environments - whether in the corridor, on a seating staircase or in the library. Origin
Cooperation with the design studio Raumreaktion
As part of the "School of the future" theme, we are intensively examining the changing requirements for learning environments and the appropriate furniture. This has resulted in the HOCKBOX : It is the result of a close and inspiring collaboration with the design studio Raumreaktion. Raumreaktion brings a unique combination of skills from interior design, industrial design and psychology. The interdisciplinary team designs spaces and furnishing solutions that consistently focus on people.
Together, it was very important to us to create sustainable school furniture - a piece of furniture that can be used for years and passed on from class to class. We placed particular emphasis on durability, robustness and a well thought-out design that meets the needs of children. Because the way children learn today is changing. Learning spaces should be flexible, encourage movement and encounters, but also offer space for retreat and concentration. The HOCKBOX stands for this new learning culture: furniture that is geared towards children and their needs - not the other way around.
